| What is band? Band is an extracurricular program your student has the opportunity to be involved in. They will receive instruction on the instrument of their choice. Band is important because it teaches students to read music, play notes, and to play in a group setting. Each student will receive the equivalent of two lessons each week.
When does band meet? Band will meet on Tuesdays this year. Each student will meet twice on Tuesday. First for sectionals, and then for a full band rehearsal.
When does band start? The first day of band will be September 14. This will allow time for you to sign up and get an instrument!
How do I get an instrument for my child? There are a few instruments available for rent for a small fee through MCA. If we do not have the instrument your child would like to play you can rent one from a local music store.
What instrument should my child play? Your student has the option to choose their own instrument. If you are not sure what instrument is best for your child, please feel free to contact me.
How much does it cost? The cost for the full band year is $400. You may pay all at once, or split the cost up into $100 increments throughout the year. The payment schedule is on the registration form attached. Payments will not go through the school, but directly to me. When writing a check please make it payable to Emily Milioni.

How can I help the band program? I will always need volunteers! We will have several concerts throughout the year and I will need help with set up, tear down, and everything in between! If you would like to help please let me know. |
